Henry's bedroom key

Henry’s bedroom key is not the attic safe code. Players tie it to a study hidden behind a bookshelf, and they say that study is missing on some boards. I checked the October 9–12, 2026 threads on October 16 and they still disagree about the prerequisite.

I read the October 10 “where is the key” thread, the October 12 post that opened the shelf and still did not find Henry’s key, and the October 9 post from someone who did enter the bedroom. The conflict is the point of this page. I will not pick a quest step that only one summary invented.

Where the posts agree

The study uses a U-shaped shelf. One book sits at an angle. Using it moves the shelf and shows a note. Several players put Henry’s key in that room, then use the key on Henry’s bedroom door.

The study is not on every map. That is the usual reason a group searches for an hour and finds nothing. Changing boards is the reported fix, not a second password.

Search bookcases for one book that is tilted, not flush with the row.
Interact with that book so the shelf moves.
Read the note. Do not assume the key is guaranteed to be on the floor.
If the key is there, take it to Henry’s bedroom door.
If the shelf never appears, you are likely on a board that did not roll the study.

What people say is in the bedroom

A player who got inside on October 9 described a television, wardrobes you can use, and a long letter. The letter is plot. I am not reprinting it. The same post connects Henry’s death to an idol, which is a spoiler-level claim from one player.

The October 12 account opened the study, found the note, and still had no key. So “the key is always behind the shelf” is too strong. Prerequisite talk exists, and it is not consistent.
