Invokyr connection fixes

If a friend cannot join, start with the patch the developer actually shipped. V0.44.11 on October 15, 2026 adds an EOS network option while Steam networking stays the default. V0.44.7 on October 8 downgraded the Steam SDK because some players could not connect.

I pulled the Steam news list on October 16 and read the titles in order: V0.44.7, V0.44.8, V0.44.9, V0.44.10, then V0.44.11. The connection advice below is only what those titles and the research notes on their bodies support. I am not publishing a port list, because no official port list was in those notes.

Try this order

Confirm the build before you change router settings. The October patches already targeted this class of bug.

  1. Update the game and the Steam client. V0.44.7 added a clearer error when the Steam client is too old.
  2. If Steam networking still fails, switch to the EOS option added in V0.44.11. Steam remains the default.
  3. After a disconnect, update past V0.44.10. That patch lists fixes for a multiplayer soft lock, endless spectating, and repeated turns. Dropped players also lose the item in their hands.
  4. Use the lobby kick added in V0.44.11 if a stuck player is holding the session.
  5. A third player making the board very laggy is a community report without an official fix in these notes.

What these patches do not claim

There is no official firewall or port document in the sources. Cross-country sessions are discussed by players and not concluded by the studio.

Console cross-play is not announced. EOS here is a PC networking fallback, not an Xbox or PlayStation login.
